Minister and Staff
Rev. Nellie G. Cloninger
I have been blessed to be called by God to serve in two different fields, first as a R.N. working in Hospitals in West Va., Pennsylvania, and North Carolina. I have served in ministry in Pennsylvania and in South Carolina. There are so many things I feel honored to be part of
Being with people as they receive Jesus into their lives
Administering the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion
Being with persons and their families as they go through sickness
Being with people as they die – these are holy moments
Visiting with people, talking with them on the phone, welcoming new people into the Trinity family.
Preparing sermons and Bible studies
Sharing in church activities
Meeting new people
Hearing children, youth and adults talk about God and who they understand God to be, and reflecting on questions together with them
My husband Scott (retired United Methodist minister) and I are celebrating 40 years of married joy this year. We have three children and five grandchildren. We are thankful that love has grown and multiplied. (I had decided to remain single because as a preacher’s kid I knew that ministry is quite time consuming. Scott was determined to convince me we could make it work, and he has been right.
