Epworth Children’s Home - Epworth Children’s Home, in Columbia, SC, is an agency of the United Methodist Church that provides family and individual services for troubled and at-risk children and youth.

Trinity, along with other United Methodist Churches in South Carolina, provides support for Epworth Children’s Home with special offerings on Mother’s Day and the Third Sunday in September.  In addition, Trinity assists with special projects throughout the year.

Disaster reliefTrinity United Methodist Church provides disaster relief for our local and regional community.  Following Hurricane Katrina, the Trinity congregation has been working with First UMC, Biloxi, Mississippi, to assist them in relief efforts in their community.

 

PATH – PATH is an organization that provides temporary assistance for local citizens in need. Many of Trinity’s members volunteer their time to those in need. Financial support is offered through the church as well.

 

CROP Walk – CROP Walk is a community event that supports hunger relief.  Trinity is the host site for the walk in Western York County, and members of Trinity help to coordinate it.

 

UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) - This organization responds immediately when a natural disaster occurs.  Our church collects items such as flood buckets and health kits.  Through the coordination of Trinity's UMCOR representative, these items are sent to Louisiana for distribution.  A Mission Team from Trinity travels each year to the Sager-Brown Distribution Center in Baldwin, La, to work in the warehouse.

 

Salkehatchie Summer Service - Salkehatchie Summer Service is a pioneering servant ministry at selected sites in North and South Carolina that involves high school and college age youth, adult community leaders, and persons of different cultures. Salkehatchie Summer Service upgrades housing, motivates the community cooperative efforts by helping persons to help themselves, and provides all participants with opportunities for personal growth and service.

 

Back to School - Trinity church members provide supplies for local needy public school students.

 

Interfaith Hospitality - Trinity UMC works with First Presbyterian Church to provide shelter and assistance for local homeless people.

 

Jefferson Adult Day CareTrinity United Methodist Church helps to provide Christmas gifts for individuals at the Jefferson Adult Day Care Center.

 

E.T. Coordinator – The E.T. coordinator supervises and oversees the maintenance of the E.T. House.

 

UMVIM (United Methodist Volunteers in Mission) - Trinity members will be traveling overseas with an UMVIM mission team.
